Looking for high school senior STEM students!! Application available now through April 4, 2025.

The RANGE Program is currently looking for students that are planning to major in engineering, other STEM majors or undecided students that would be successful in STEM majors.  The Fall 2025 RANGE cohort has 30 openings.

RANGE students will be provided the following:

  • A cohort community Same (or similar) schedule
    Small class sizes
    Close-knit feel
  • Summer 2025 RANGE orientation
    Schedule building
    Transfer goals
  • Summer 2025 free bridge course for skill alignment
  • Weekly RANGE STEM course with cohort group and RANGE faculty leads that may include:
    Alumni speakers
    Transfer college information
    LLC counselors
    Local internship information
    Engineering professional speakers
    Student well-being check in
  • Tutoring sessions: Up to 6 hours of free tutoring with a second year engineering student mentor(s)
  • Personalized advising: Individualized meetings with faculty advisor to discuss transfer options
  • Internship opportunities from:
    Local businesses
    Lake Land College
  • Remediation opportunities if necessary

The Fall 2025 RANGE cohort currently has 30 openings. To qualify for consideration the following requirements must be met.

  • Submit a completed application form with required attachments to the RANGE program at Lake Land College at range@lakelandcollege.edu by 5:00 p.m. CST, Friday, April 4, 2025.
  • Graduating senior Spring 2025
  • Interested in an engineering or STEM field
  • Math Requirement:
    • Level 1 – Precalculus Start:
      • Completion of Algebra II or similar course with B or higher AND Math ACT of 19 or higher or Math SAT of 500 or higher
        • Note:  If this requirement is not met, a remediation course can be taken online Summer 2024*
        • A free online bridge course for skill alignment will be offered in the summer
    • Level 2 – Calculus Start:
      • Completion of College Algebra and Trigonometry or similar courses with B or higher AND Math ACT of 22 or higher or Math SAT of 530 or higher
        • Note:  If the Trigonometry requirement is not met, it can be taken online during the summer
          • A free online bridge course for skill alignment will be offered in the summer
