Multi-Factor Authentication

What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) refers to an additional layer of security that is added to the login process.

MFA relies on two forms of authentication: something you know, and something you have with you. The something you know is your password. The something you have with you can be a mobile device or One-Time Passcode. This means that even if your password is compromised, your account will remain secure.

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a layered approach to securing your online accounts and the data that they contain. With MFA enabled for Lake Land College accounts, the likelihood of compromise is reduced by 99%, according to Microsoft. Lake Land College will continue to expand options for authentication.
