Madison attended Lake Land College and Eastern Illinois University. She worked with community-based programs before instructing at Lake Land College. She teaches Health Education and Human Services classes on our Mattoon campus and online.

Christa Borries is a graduate of the Human Services Program at Lake Land College. She attended Eastern Illinois University and spent many years as in the social services field before becoming Lake Land’s Human Services Clinical Supervisor. Her experience in social services and her role as the Internship Supervisor has earned her endless connections at human service agencies and beyond. She helps our students find internship sites that align with their interests and ensures that both the agency and the student are benefiting from the experience.

Each Human Services student will have the opportunity to complete two internships. With the help of Christa Borries, the Human Services Internship Supervisor, you will choose an internship sire that aligns with your career interests. This internship is an opportunity to have direct contact with professionals in human services and to experience working with their clients/customers.
