Develop your machinery skills through the Diesel & Ag Power Technology Program! As a student, you will be trained to diagnose, service and maintain multiple diesel industry products using recommended procedures, special tools and technical information. By earning the certificate, your studies will focus on learning how to work in agriculture machinery dealerships as technicians and parts counter clerks.

You can study a variety of diesel career opportunities through internships in agriculture equipment dealers, heavy truck dealers, and the industrial consumer equipment industry. As a graduate, you will be qualified for jobs like agriculture dealership mechanical and technicians, industrial technicians and heavy equipment technicians. Your chances of landing a job in this field are growing by the day! According to the United States Department of Labor statistics, jobs in this area are expected to grow by 5 percent through 2024.

You will work on current machines brought in from local dealers with the help of interactive manuals and diagnostic equipment. The program provides experiences in all kinds of mechanical, mobile-operated equipment including lawn and garden, farming and heavy machinery. You’re even encouraged to bring in personal equipment to diagnose and repair! This hands-on experience will provide you with real-world knowledge.
You will work in a business on Supervised Occupational Experiences (SOE) four times to gain real job experience throughout the two-year program.
You will be required to purchase hand tools necessary to use in the program.
