The cost of attending Lake Land College varies based on your student’s program of study, residency status, housing arrangements, transportation and other expenses, and the financial aid your family is eligible to receive.
You can determine what your cost will be with these resources:
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, is required to determine students’ eligibility for federal, state, and institutional financial aid, including grants, student loans, work study, and many scholarships. The FAFSA application opens October 1 for the following academic year. The earlier you apply, the better. By getting a head start on the application process, you will be eligible for priority funding and make better decisions on how to plan for your education. Lake Land College’s FAFSA code is 007644.
All students under the age of 24, unless deemed independent, will need their parents’ tax information to complete the FAFSA.
Your student may have mentioned that we need some additional forms in order to complete their financial aid. In some cases, we must verify the accuracy of the information submitted on the FAFSA. We may ask parents to complete a form to help in that process.
Please have your student refer to their Financial Aid Checklist in their Laker Hub for all documents that have been requested and check the status of their financial aid.
Beyond the aid of grants and scholarships, your student also has the option of setting up a payment plan in order to spread out their costs in their Laker Hub > My IRIS > Financial Information > Set Up My Payment Plan.
Check out our Nelnet Payment Plan page for more information.
Want to stay updated on your student’s account? Your student can grant access to their billing details to you or another third party through their Laker Hub > My IRIS > Financial Information > Parent Payment Portal Setup. Parents can then log in to the parent portal here.
