NOTE: Financial Aid and voucher transactions must be made in person on campus by the student.
Lake Land College students also have multiple options for textbook returns.
Cost of defacement or damage will be paid by the renter at the new retail price.
Purchased course materials (workbooks, access codes, etc.) can be returned by the 10th day of the semester (5th day Mod/Summer) with receipt and in original condition.
Merchandise and apparel must be returned within 30 days and must be accompanied with the receipt and original tags.
It is the student’s responsibility to maintain records that may be necessary for tax purposes.
All rented items must be returned to the College by the day the semester closes, which is the day following the last day of finals. Beginning the following day, students will be charged new retail price of unreturned rentals. Textbook return deadlines are published on the Laker Calendar and are shown on the student booklist.
After the period mentioned above, any textbooks that have not been returned to the Bookstore will become the property of the students and the total cost for those books will be added to the student’s bill. At that time, books can no longer be returned to the Bookstore and any future financial aid, scholarships, or student loans may be held or applied against these charges.
Students with late textbook charges may be blocked from receiving transcripts and may not be able to register for any classes until the charges are paid.
Students who have been charged for unreturned textbooks and blocked but have a documentable reason for the unreturned books may petition to have the charges removed. Students should obtain documentation showing the reasoning with dates and follow these steps:
Students can stop by the Bookstore or Kluthe Center during normal business hours with a valid picture ID (i.e. driver’s license or passport) to get a Lake Land Student ID made.
There is a $10 fee for replacement IDs.
Students will log into their Laker Hub; in the upper right hand corner they will see an icon reading ‘Print My Booklist’. Click that icon. On the following page, read the textbook rental agreement, select the term and check the box to agree to the rental terms. Click accept and continue.
