Lake Land College students have a variety of options for earning scholarships to assist with paying for college.
Each year, the Lake Land College Foundation awards students more than $600,000 worth of scholarships in a range of amounts up to $5,000.
Applications should be completed annually as scholarships are awarded on an annual basis. Applications for the 2024-2025 academic year will be accepted from November 1, 2023-February 1, 2024 and from August 1-August 31, 2024.
Lake Land College Foundation Scholarships are awarded to students based on a wide range of criteria. Only one application is required to be considered for all Foundation Scholarships.

The Rural King Annual Scholarship is available for full-time and part-time students who are active Rural King employees or dependents of an employee with financial need. Priority will be placed on students that live or work in a Rural King County, and demonstrate alignment with Rural King’s core values through community involvement. This new scholarship opportunity was created as a new partnership between Rural King and Lake Land College to support the continued growth and development of Rural King associates and their dependents through providing access to post-secondary educational opportunities.
Note: The application is available from November 1- February 1, and again August 1-31.
Lake Land College is pleased to guarantee a Presidential Scholarship to all eligible in-district high school graduates who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance. The scholarship covers the full cost of tuition for up to two years.

The Lake Land College Pathways and GED Programs are eligible to award the Presidential Scholarship to two in-district students from each program who plan to attend Lake Land College the following fall semester. Each student must meet all of the following requirements:
Pathways students using the GED pretest score for qualification must successfully complete the GED test prior to enrollment.
Lake Land College athletic coaches award scholarships to talented athletes who in their judgment have the outstanding ability to compete on their respective NJCAA team.
Students interested in participating in intercollegiate athletics at Lake Land College should complete the Athletic Interest form. Upon receiving your information, the Athletics department will reach out to you regarding your interest.

Many community organizations, banks, credit unions, clubs, fraternal orders, businesses and employers sponsor a variety of private scholarships. Students are encouraged to contact these organizations about scholarship opportunities. High school guidance offices are also an excellent resource for scholarship listings, searches and assistance. Many private scholarships are awarded well before the fall semester begins, so students should start the search and application process early and pay close attention to deadlines.

The purpose of this scholarship is to promote the education of individuals seeking a career in teaching Earth Science or Geology to students or the general public. Applicant must be majoring, or intends to major, in a curriculum which will be compatible with a career in education. Area of study must include the Earth Sciences, (including but not limited to, Earth Science, Geology, Environmental Science, or Natural History Museum Programs.)
