The IT-Web Technology major emphasizes computer programming, software applications and web application skills in front-end, back-end and full-stack development. The degree option for Web Technology is designed to provide students with a well-rounded computer curriculum, one that offers the knowledge and hands-on experience necessary to compete in the rapidly growing web technology field. Students can expect the program to be largely hands-on and project-based.
The employment of web developers is projected to grow 32 percent through 2026, faster than the average for all occupations according to the National Bureau of Labor Statistics (bls.gov).
IT-Web Technology is available as a two-year associate in applied science degree or a one-year certificate program.
